What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on health care discipline that focuses on the neuromusculoskeletal system; the nerves, muscles, joints, and bones. Chiropractors are trained professionals that use effective, safe, and comfortable manual therapy techniques to promote healing and restore normal function in the body. Chiropractors treat a variety of common conditions related to the spine such as chronic low back pain, headaches, nagging neck pain, hip and knee pain.

What do treatments consist of?

Chiropractors use a variety of treatment modalities and manual therapy to relieve pain and spinal dysfunction to optimize one's health.  Each treatment plan is tailored specifically to suit the needs of the patient. Treatment options include spinal manipulations, mobilizations of the spine and extremeties, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercises, nutritional recommendations, and postural education. Specialized orthotic devices may be recommended if a biomechanical dysfunction is detected in your gait pattern such as someone with flat feet (pes planus).
