DR. ROMANA SCHMIDT
During my final year of my Chiropractic study, I sustained a neck injury that resulted in a long course of treatment. Although my symptoms were improving with Chiropractic treatments, it wasn't until they were combined with acupuncture that I saw tremendous results. That experience encouraged me to complete my Medical Acupuncture training at McMaster University so that I could offer the same profound treatment to others. While working alongside a Medical Doctor who specialized in Obstetrician and Gynecology, I built a strong interest in Prenatal care and pursued additional training in the field and became certified in the Webster Technique.
My approach uses a diversified Chiropractic technique using a non-invasive, hands-on approach. I incorporate chiropractic spinal adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, and rehabilitation with a strong focus on Acupuncture to treat pain and spinal dysfunction. Each treatment plan is specifically tailered to each patient to help restore normal function, relieve pain, and optimize their health.
I have a strong interest in education and evidence-based care and I continue to learn new skills and techniques regularly with additional courses. I then get to apply that into my patients treatments so that they get the best possible care.

As a strong believer and supporter of living a healthy lifestyle combined with an eagerness for education, I ventured on my quest to learn as much as I could about the human body. My goal and mission was to educate myself so that I could help others live a healthier, pain-free life and to help achieve their optimal health goals. I began my journey in Montreal, Quebec, where I attended McGill University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Human Anatomy and Cell Biology. During my final year, I volunteered with an OB/GYN in my home town of Almonte, ON and it was during that summer that I was exposed to the fascinating field of Chiropractic. I realized that Chiropractic was my passion and that I could heal people with my hands. I went on to complete my Degree in Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
